Marc Ard

Marcus Victor “Marc” Ard, 63, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the Medical University of South Carolina. Born on March 2, 1958, in Georgetown, he was the son of Angela Barrineau Ard and the late Julian Ard. Marc was a member of Wayne United Methodist Church. He enjoyed sports, was an avid GAMECOCK fan and enjoyed scanner radio. Marc’s personality and smile could lite up a room and was an inspiration to all who knew him. Survivors include his mother of Georgetown; two uncles, Patrick Barrineau (Donna) of Anderson and Tim Barrineau (Pam) of Gulf Port, MS; three aunts, Judith Barrineau of Georgetown, Emily Davidson (Dennis) of Moncks Corner and Weda Williams (Horace) of Charleston; and numerous cousins and special friends. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Gladys and Whaley Barrineau; and paternal grandparents, Leeque and John Ard. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Wayne United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the fellowship hall.
