Magdalene Davis Mcalister

Magdalene Inez Davis McAlister, 81, wife of Willie McAlister, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Tidelands Community Hospice House. Born on October 12, 1934, in Calhoun Falls, she was a daughter of the late Frank Davis and the late Laura Barrett Davis. Mrs. McAlister was a member of Ringel Heights Baptist Church where she served as the Sunday school teacher of the Bible Class. She enjoyed cooking, watching baseball and most of all spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of Georgetown; nine children, Juanita Garner (Freddy) of Greenville, Annette Ashley (Jimmy) of Honea Path, Frank McAlister (Connie) of Townville, Laura Owens (Harvey) of Georgetown, Robert McAlister (Beckie) of Georgetown, Johnny McAlister (Nancy) of Andrews, Lisa Turner (Brian) of Georgetown, Rusty McAlister (Heather) of Lancaster and Ricky McAlister of Georgetown; 27 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Azalee Redd (Bobby) of Honea Path. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Ringel Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Rusty McAlister and Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 1 PM Thursday at Ringel Heights Baptist Church.
