Hannah Lunette Shelley Collins, 90, widow of William O. Collins, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Born on October 16, 1932, in Horry County, she was a daughter of the late William Randolph Shelley and the late Sarah Adletha Ellis Shelley. Mrs. Collins was a faithful member of Wayne United Methodist Church where she was a part of the Curtis Bell Sunday school class and the Women’s Circle. She retired from Georgetown Memorial Hospital after more than 40 years of service in the radiology department. Mrs. Collins enjoyed seamstress work, crocheting, crafting, and cooking.
Survivors include three children, Connie Moore O'Dowd (Michael) of Marrietta, GA, Dale Moore Frye (Anthony) of Georgetown and Sharon Moore Cato (Billy) of Moncks Corner; five grandchildren, Anthony Wade Frye, Jr. (Holly) of Moncks Corner, Jason O'Dowd of Kennisaw, GA, Jeffrey Frye (Amanda) of Georgetown, Gillian Muenow (Michael) of Bothell, WA and Hannah Warren (Dillon) of Moncks Corner; nine great-grandchildren, Killian, Kaden, Marshall, Marcie, Abigail, Mason, Henry, Elijah and Ellis; two sisters-in-law, Betty Jean Shelley of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Wilma Shelley of Georgetown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Vassar Mae Dunn; and three brothers, Herman Walker Shelley, Lexington Randolph Shelley and Woodrow Wilson Shelley.
Graveside services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, November 19, 2022, in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the graveside.
