Lesley Susanne Rainey Barnhill, 54, wife of Vernie Eason Barnhill, Jr., passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at her home. Born on December 17, 1969, in Rock Hill, she was a daughter of Betty Jean Ellis Rainey and the late John David Rainey. Lesley attended Poplar Hill Free Will Baptist Church and had a great love for working in her yard, being on the river, cooking and most off all taking care of her family. Survivors include her husband and mother both of Andrews; two children, Timothy L. Lambert, Jr. of Andrews and Jeffery Neil Lambert of Greenville; three grandchildren, Summer Lambert, Ally Lambert and Timothy L. Lambert, III; two sisters, Lynda McDonald (John) of Georgetown and Karen Rainey (Jay Brown) of Rock Hill; mother-in-law, Mary Miller of Hemingway; her fur baby, Itty Bitty; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by grandmothers, Katie Ellis and Audrey Williford. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Bethel Church of Andrews. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Frances Animal Shelter, 125 Ridge St. Georgetown, SC 29440 or to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street New York, NY 10016 Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.ridgewayfh.com Ridgeway Funeral Home of Georgetown is in charge of the arrangements.
