Katherine Isabelle Matter Blake, 74, wife of John Wesley Blake, passed away Friday, November 22, 2024, at her home.

Born on June 17, 1950, in Winnsboro, LA, she was a daughter of the late Merrill Jonathan Matter and the late Emma Lou Baxley Matter. Mrs. Blake dedicated many years of her life to working as a registered nurse, providing compassionate care to countless patients. Outside of working, Mrs. Blake enjoyed reading, cooking and expressing her creativity through crafting. Above all else, she had a great love for her family, especially her grandchildren, and her legacy of love, care and creativity will forever be cherished.

Survivors include her husband of Andrews; two children, Mary Katherine Syler (Dustin) of Andrews and Archie Wylie Blake (Crystal) of Andrews; six grandchildren, Allie Leatherwood (Dylan), Joseph Blake, Noah Blake, Lillie Blake, Jackson Syler and Tyson Syler; one sister, Marilyn Lambert of Andrews; two nieces, Jessica Cribb (Steve Batterton) and Emily Taylor; and a nephew, Jonathan Lambert (Mary Anne).

She was preceded in death by one sister, Amanda Taylor; a brother, Tommy Matter; and a nephew, Jonathan Thomas "Deuce" Matter, II.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday, November 25, 2024, at Ridgeway Funeral Home. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105
