Jennie Lee Goude Miller

Jennie Lee Goude Miller, 91, widow of William Daniel Miller, Sr., passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at her home.

Born on June 22, 1927, in Georgetown County, she was a daughter of the late John Leslie McFarland Goude and the late Annie Ruth Russ Goude. Mrs. Miller was a faithful member of Nesmith Baptist Church where she served as a former Sunday school teacher, choir member and nursery volunteer. She also served as VBS director, Sunday school teacher and choir member at Graves Southern Baptist Church and North Hampton Baptist Church. Along with her love for her church, Mrs. Miller had a great love for helping others and spending time with her beloved family. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, singing and taking care of her beloved cats.

Survivors include three daughters, Kay Frances M. Turner of Georgetown, Mary Etta M. Etheridge of Georgetown and Amy M. Burkett (David) of Irmo; 21 grandchildren, Emory H. McCrea of Kingstree, W. Tommy McCrea (Patricia) of Greenwood, Karen O. Pope of Georgetown, Daniella O. Howard (Mark) of Andrews, William D. Turner of Gilbert, AZ, LeeAnn Turner Campos (Sam) of Tuscon, AZ, Lisa M. Huber (Kevin) of Key West, FL, Jennifer M. Thompson (Eddie) of Georgetown, Sheila L. Etheridge of Georgetown, Melanie E. Grainger (Chucky) of Bucksport, Jeremy W. Etheridge of Georgetown, W. Chad Miller of CO, Misty F. Etheridge of Georgetown, Christy M. Anderson (John) of Conway, Annie N. Miller of Murrells Inlet, Mandy M. Blake (Andrew) of Georgetown, L. Danette Miller of Pawleys Island, Amorelle N. Burkett of Irmo, Cassidy F. Burkett of Irmo, Gracyn D. Burkett and Sophie M. Burkett of Irmo; 28 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother, Norman L. Goude (Janice) of Beaufort; one sister, Ozzie G. Goude Lambert of Beaufort; one son in law, Glenn McCrea of Kingstree; two daughters in law, Marion B. Miller of Andrews and Linda M. Miller of Georgetown; one sister in law, Doris C. Miller of Georgetown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy McCrea; three sons, Billy Paul Miller, Larry "Joe" Miller and William Daniel "WD" Miller, Jr.; one son in law, Jimmy Etheridge; one daughter in law, Debra W. Miller; one great grandson, Jamie Lambert; two sisters, Ruth Miller and Louvenia G. Jacobs; two brothers, Lloyd Goude and Laurice Goude.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, June 14, 2019 at Nesmith Baptist Church with Rev. Craig Cribb and Elder Mike Goude (nephew) officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Forest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
