Janice Cumbie

Janice Lee Cumbie, 71, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024, at her sister’s home. Born on March 12, 1953, in Andrews, she was a daughter of the late George H. Cumbie, Jr. and the late Lila Lee Cumbie. Ms. Cumbie had a great love for spending time outdoors, working in her yard and tending to her flowers. During her free time, she enjoyed playing games on her computer and spending time with her son. Ms. Cumbie was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. Survivors include one son, Robert C. Barnes, II of Andrews; one sister, Patrica Ward (Jake) of Georgetown; one brother, Handford Cumbie (Tammy) of Andrews; two nephews, Jacob Ward (Amy) and Jeremy Ward (Amie) all of Georgetown; two great nieces, Patelyn Ward and Kaylee Ward; four great nephews, Tucker Ward (Maddie McConnell), Chandler Ward, Hunter Harrington and Fisher Ward; one great-great nephew, Jaden Ward; and special friends, Brad Thomas, Libby Powell, June Watford and Misty Ethridge. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Nicholas Cumbie; and a niece Amy Dimmery. A graveside service will be held at 3 PM Saturday, August 10, 2024 in the Ivey Cemetery.
