Janice Schoepf Bennett, 72, widow of James Graham Bennett, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019 at her home.
Born on May 4, 1947, in Cincinnati, OH, she was a daughter of the late Jack Graves Schoepf and the late Joyce LeJune Schoepf. Mrs. Bennett was a retired flight attendant, a realtor and a very talented artist. She served as a volunteer to carry troops home during Gulf War, receiving an award from the United States Air Force for her kindness and generosity. She enjoyed knitting and her talent was highlighted through her hand spun and dyed scarves hats and gloves. Along with her love for being an artist, Mrs. Bennett had a great love for dogs, especially her poodles which she traveled all over showing. Aside from her creativity, Mrs. Bennett was a strong, selfless and giving woman.
Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Glenn Magoto (Brian) of Charleston; and was affectionately known as GaGa to her beloved grandson, Dylan “Dylpickle Man” Brown of Charleston.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Leslie Cabell.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
