Inez Cusack Miller

1928 — February 26, 2017

Inez Cusack Miller passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017, at Waccamaw Hospital in Murrells Inlet, with her two children watching over her. Born in Georgetown County, on August 16, 1928, she was a lifelong native of South Carolina whose family lineage goes back to Revolutionary War hero, Adam Cusack, who was hanged by the British in 1780 near Society Hill, S.C. for shooting at a British officer. Inez also could remember when her Aunt, Trudy Thomas Norton, operated the entire phone system for Myrtle Beach in the living room of her home. Inez spent the early part of her life in Georgetown County and later lived in the Hemingway area, where she raised her children; and then moved back to Waterford Estates and Pawleys Island. Inez has lived the last 15 years in Myrtle Beach. She was an active church member and devout Christian all her life. She is survived by two children, Rev. Reg. W. Miller of Surfside, S.C. and Ginger Miller Hall (Rev. Danny Hall) of Torrance, California; four grandchildren, Rev. John-Paul Miller, Patrick Miller (Kimberly) and Lacy Noelle Miller, all of Myrtle Beach and Christopher Hall (Lindsay) of El Segundo, California; eight great grandchildren, Logan Miller Hardee, Zachary Isaiah Miller, Elijah Reed Miller, Asher John Miller, Selah Kate Miller and Ayden Keith all of Myrtle Beach and Kate Vienna Hall and Eliana Robin Hall both of El Segundo, California. She leaves one half-brother, David Cusack (Bobbie); two half-sisters, Virginia Flowers Locklear (Ken) and Mary Lambert; and numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews. Missing her will be special friends, Susan O’Hearn, Betty Hunt and Linda Stowe. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 60 years, Reg Kinley Miller; parents, Henry Cusack and Ada Thomas Cusack; brothers, Johnny Cusack and Holland Cusack; sisters, Elise Cusack Owens and Ida Ruth Cusack Wooldrige; half-brother, James “Tootsie” Cusack; and her son, Bruce Miller. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, 2918 Highmarket St., Georgetown, S.C. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday March 5, 2017 at Solid Rock Church at Market Commons, in Myrtle Beach, S.C. A viewing will be open to the public for two hours prior to the service at the church. Burial and graveside service will be held at 4:30 p.m. in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery across from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church near Hemingway, S.C. Pallbearers will be Morgan Livingston, Bobby Johnson, Eddie Johnson, Richard Johnson, David Moore and Laverne Williams.
