Gloria Jean "Jeanne" Nobles Rea, age 80, wife of Tom Rea, entered her heavenly home on Thursday March 6, 2025.
Jeanne was born on April 22, 1944, in Williamsburg County, the daughter of the late D.W. "Nick" Nobles Jr and the late Sue Matthews Nobles. Jeanne was a proud graduate of Winyah High School and attended Campbell University. Jeanne retired after 27 years of teaching Kindergarten at Bynum Elementary and later Kensington Elementary. Jeanne loved all of her past students and remembered each one. As much as she loved teaching, her greatest passion was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The highlight of her day was receiving a FaceTime call from her great grands every day. Jeanne, better known as Mee Mee, not just to her family but to so many others, was known for her kind spirit and sweet soul. She will be greatly missed but greatly remembered.
Surviving Jeanne in addition to her husband Tom are her children, John Rea and his wife Lisa of Socastee, her daughters Erin Forbes and her husband Paul, and Teri Britt and her husband Brian, Grandchildren Lindsey Rea, Thomas Rea and his wife Allyson, Allan Rea and the love of his life Harini Vakamudi, Nicholas Rea, Connor Forbes, Jerimey Holland Jr and his wife Elizabeth and Dawson Forbes, Great-Grandchildren Mackenzie Jean Rea (blessed to be her namesake), Camryn Joy Rea, and Jonathan James Rea, her sister Betty Lou "Bet" Swart and her husband Al, special friend (counted more as a sister), Inge Ebert, Brother in Law David Rea, and many, many friends who adopted her as their Mee Mee.
