Franklin Russell Grice, 62, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Born on September 6, 1955, in Marion County, he was a son of Franklin S. Grice and Annette Hazel Grice Blake. Mr. Grice was a member of Fork Presbyterian Church and was a US Army veteran. Mr. Grice was the inventor of the Grice Device, a fuel expander. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his mother, Annette Grice Blake of Jackson Springs, NC; father, Franklin S. Grice (Patsy) of Fair Bluff, NC; three children, Regina Roberts Trejo (Salomon) of Georgetown, Franklin Russell "Dro" Grice, Jr. (Danielle) of New Salem, PA and Elizabeth Ashley Clark (Lance) of Waterford, MI; nine grandchildren; Tim Grice (Becky) of NC, Andy Grice of CA, Mandy Midkiff (Eugene) of Columbia, Matthew Grice (Melissa) of Marion; special friend, Cheryl Grice of Dillon; a special Army friend, Etheridge Haselden of Marion; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Maude and Henry Cain.
A memorial service will be held at 5 PM Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Ringel Heights Baptist Church.
The family will host a reception following the service in the Family Life Center.
