Florence Leona Ogburn Caulder

1919 — October 26, 2015

Florence Leona Ogburn Caulder, 96, widow of Julius Harold Caulder, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2015 at Tidelands Community Hospice House. Born on May 5, 1919, in Williamsburg County, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Ogburn and the late Mamie McCrea Ogburn. Mrs. Caulder was a member of Andrews First Pentecostal Holiness Church and Midway Pentecostal Holiness Church in Sumter. She enjoyed gardening and being a caregiver for her grandson. Survivors include five children, Julius Caulder, Jr. of Sumter, Saundria Reynolds of Pawleys Island, Julia Hinkle of Pawleys Island, Mary Lee (Jerry) of Alcolu and Bobby Caulder of Pelion; 17 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelby Bailey; three grandchildren, Jerry Lee, Ronnie Lee and Timothy Thornhill. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Suttons United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Wednesday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
