Bronson Ferrell Quickel, Jr., 77, husband of Barbara Wise Quickel, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

Born on March 5, 1942, in Gassaway, WV, he was a son of the late Bronson Ferrell Quickel, Sr. and the late Hazel Crites Munn. Mr. Quickel was a US Navy veteran having served in the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of Ringel Heights Baptist Church, the Sonshine Sunday Class and was a former deacon. Mr. Quickel was retired from International Paper Company and enjoyed camping and traveling.

Survivors include his wife of Hemingway; step father, Raymond Munn of Georgetown; one son, Jim Buckner (Wanda) of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Melissa, Cliff, Tyler and Celeste; six great grandchildren, Josiah, Winnie, Ryneck, Christopher, Kelton and Landon; one sister, Donna Small (Frank) of Georgetown; one niece, Deanna Marsh of Johnsonville; and a nephew, Michael Small (Blair) of Fayetteville, NC.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Quickel; and a nephew, Frankie Small.

Funeral services will be held at 3PM Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Ringel Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ringel Heights Baptist Church, 78 Rubin Ave. Georgetown, SC 29440.
