Eldon “Ray” Guess, 65, passed away on October 25, 2021, due to a long battle of cancer.
Born on June 9, 1956, in Nettleton, Mississippi, he was a son of the late Don Guess and late Loriene Guess. Mr. Guess was a former master electrician, alumni of Nettleton High School, father, brother, grandfather and friend. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, playing cards, and pool. To know him was to love him.
He is survived by two sons, Terry Joe Guess (April) and Steven “Greasy” Guess (Amanda) and their mother Dale Guess; two daughters, Tracey Wages (Shawn) and Kayla Brown; three brothers Larry Guess (Sara), Jerry Guess (Bonnie) and Kenny Guess (Patricia); four sisters, Hazel Turnridge (Bob), Donna Davis (Stan), Brenda Perry (Mark) and Diane Tackett; fourteen grandchildren, Tiffany Morris, Shawna Cooley (Landon), Kerry Guess, Lauryn Guess, Abby Miller, Jacob Guess, Wesley Taylor, Micah Brown, Alaysa Brown, Charlie Fowler, Sadie Wages, Tanner Stafford, Ashtyn Stafford and Kynlee Stafford; three great grandchildren, Brooklyn Morris, London Morris, and Bristol Cooley; and special friends, Dub Keith, Cindy and Lonny Austin, and Mike and Laurie McFadden along with many, many other family members and friends.
Mr. Guess was predeceased by his daughter, Vanessa Dockery; son in law, Brian Dockery; brother, James Guess; and twin sister, Fay-Gwen Keith.
