Dustin Eugene Swails, 27, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at The Medical University of South Carolina.
Born on December 2, 1993, in Georgetown, he was a son of Robin Ann West Swails and Jonathan Eugene Swails. Dustin was a former member of North Hampton Baptist Church and the Oak Grove Hunting Club. He had a great love for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Dustin lived life to the fullest and was a fighter of great strength to the very end.
Survivors include his mother, Robin Ann West Swails (Shawn Russ) of Georgetown; father, Jonathan Eugene Swails of Georgetown; two children, Evan Hunter Swails and Kayleigh Sophia Tilton both of Georgetown; a brother, Cliffton Cox (Amanda) of Georgetown; two sisters, Kacie Elise Swails (Pierre Marsh) and Krysta Gayle Swails all of Georgetown; two nieces, Lilyana Cox and Abigail Flowers; five nephews, Caiden Cox, Corbyn Cox, Adam Mitchell, Bentley Swails and Pierre Levon "PJ" Marsh, Jr.; paternal grandmother, Mary Swails of Georgetown; maternal grandmother, Gayle Jayroe; two uncles, Richard Jayroe and James Swails (Hope) all of Georgetown; seven cousins, Sandie Johnson (Ryan), O’Brian Swails (Chika), David Goude (Ashley), Hailey Swails, Faith Swails, Elizabeth Swails and Lizzy Swails; and the mothers of his children, Kayla Tilton and Tina Ledford.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bobby Jayore; paternal grandfather, Vernon Swails; maternal great grandmother, Barbara Jean Hughes; maternal great grandfather, Cliffton Bass; paternal great grandparents, Marion and Azalee Swails; and a cousin, Aryn Swails.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Holy Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at Holy Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church.
