Donald Ray Lambert

Donald Ray Lambert, 72, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024, at The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center. Born on December 29, 1951, in Georgetown, he was a son of the late Woodrow Wilson Lambert and the late Dorothy Mae Lambert. Mr. Lambert grew up at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church of the Pentecostal Faith and was a US Navy veteran having served in Vietnam aboard the USS Richard E. Kraus. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and always looked forward to spending time with his brother, brother-in-law and friends frying turkeys at family gatherings. Survivors include a grand daughter, Jessica Poston (Brian) of Kingstree; three great grandchildren, Rowan, Elijah and Lucas; one brother, Ricky Lambert (Mable) of Georgetown; one sister, Patricia Long of Georgetown; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Lambert; a daughter, Bonnie K. Lambert; and a brother-in-law, Joe Long. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 PM Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church of the Pentecostal Faith.
