Carol Thomas Glover, 76, widow of Josiah B. “Joe” Glover, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Tidelands Community Hospice House.
Born on September 6, 1939, in Sumter, she was the daughter of the late Robert Eugene Thomas, Sr. and the late Marjorie Lynn Thomas. Mrs. Glover was an active member of Andrews First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Brenda Flowers Sunday School class and was involved in many church committees. She was a former board member of the Georgetown County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs and a former member of Winyah Cruisers. Mrs. Glover enjoyed antique shopping and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter.
Survivors include three beloved daughters, Mandy Glover of Andrews, Amy Glover of Georgetown and Julie Jackson (Alan) of Andrews; the apple of her eye, granddaughter, Alayna Jackson of Andrews; a brother, Robert Eugene Thomas, Jr. (Anne) of Sumter; a nephew, Robert Eugene Thomas, III (Amanda) of Sumter; and her four legged children, Riley, Pebbles, Molly and Gabby.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Josiah B. “Joe” Glover.
Funeral Services will be held at 4 PM Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in Andrews First Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Giles officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday at the Andrews First Baptist Church.
