Brenda Ruth Lambert Morris, 68, wife of Harold Leon Morris, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Tidelands Community Hospice House.
Born on February 16, 1948, in Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late Isaac Covington Lambert and the late Edna Ruth Crye Lambert. Mrs. Morris was a member of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church. She retired from the Georgetown County School District as a para-professional after more than 20 years of service. Mrs. Morris and her husband raised English Bulldogs for years and were former members of the American Kennel Club. She enjoyed many things in life that included playing bingo, shopping, finding a good bargain at yard sales, traveling to see her family in Tennessee, and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 53 years, Harold Leon Morris; four children, Patricia Morris of Georgetown, Debi Cameron (Bubba) of Andrews, Cyndi Carter (James) of Pawleys Island and Adam Morris of Georgetown; 13 grandchildren, Kristin Madison (Joey), Jessica Jayroe, Kaci Morris, Amber Davis (Anthony), Zack Feheley (Katie), Heather Hardee, Nicholas Hardee (Leighann), Corbett Carter, Hannah Carter, Piper Morris, Jetta Morris, Joshua Morris, Hunter Morris (Amber); 14 great grandchildren; one sister, Glynda Howard of Georgetown; two brothers, Teddy Whitmire (Genera) of Kingstree and Isaac Lambert of Georgetown; and a number nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Harold L. “Spanky” Morris; and a great grandson, Michael “Mikey” Madison, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 4 PM Friday, July 22, 2016 at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Chris Browder officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
