Beulah Duncan Taylor, 95, widow of Vernon Taylor, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024, at The Landings.
Born on January 28, 1929, in Georgetown County, she was a daughter of the late James Duncan and the late Eva White Elliott Duncan. Ms. Taylor was a cherished member of Screven Baptist Church where she served as the church secretary for many years and retired from Georgetown Memorial Hospital after 38 years of service. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Sherry Hughes (Freddie) of Florence, Sheila Brown (Abb) of Kingstree, Robert Taylor (Sara) of Georgetown, and Bruce Taylor of Georgetown; fourteen grandchildren, Lynn, Lisa, Jason, Kyle, Christina, Bradley, Brandon, Adrian, Ashden, Elliott, Dillon, Kelsey, Summer and Robin; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three step children, Jimmy Taylor, Janice Roberts and Benny Taylor; three grandchildren Allyson, Steve and Ellen; and three siblings, Hazel Merritt, Ruth Bouchette and Floyd Duncan.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Screven Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
