Betty Robinson Nichols, 73, wife of James William Nichols, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Born on August 3, 1942, in York, SC, she was a daughter of the late William Meek Robinson and the late Hazel Brandon Robinson. Mrs. Nichols was a member of Herbert Memorial United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the L & M Bunn Sunday school class. Mrs. Nichols was full of life and enjoyed spending time outdoors and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of Georgetown; two children, Anita Nichols Williams (Butch) of Georgetown and William Todd Nichols of Simpsonville, SC; four grandchildren, Katherine Hunter Weaver and Rodney Carter Weaver, Jr. both of Georgetown and Kennedy Claire Nichols and Parker Reece Nichols both of Simpsonville, SC; two sisters, Lavene Pryor of Clover, SC and Kate Neil (Philip) of York, SC; two brothers, Lewis Robinson of York, SC and Jerry Robinson (Pat) of Mt. Prospect, IL; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachary Carter Weaver; two sisters, Mary Frances Byrum and Mildred Whitesides; and three brothers, Bill Robinson, Eddie Meek Robinson and Carl Robinson.
A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon Monday, January 18, 2016 at Herbert Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Marie Nuckles officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM – 12 Noon Monday in the church fellowship hall.
