Iceleen “Bell” Cooper Lee, 86, widow of Relis Lee, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Born on February 2, 1936, in Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Cooper and the late Iceleen Bednego Cooper. Mrs. Lee was a member of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She retired from Albany Felt after 38 years of service but continued working on the farm bailing hay and tending to the animals. She was a simple woman who enjoyed sewing, cooking, farming, working in her worm beds and most of all spending time with her family.
Survivors include two children, Stuart Lee (Karen) of Georgetown and Darlene Best (Robert Lambert) of Andrews; four grandchildren, Buddy Best (Laura) of Georgetown, Carlos Lee (Rebecca) of Hemingway, Krystal Moore (Brian) of Georgetown and Allen Best (Danielle) of Andrews; 12 great grandchildren, Chase, Lily, Lani, Tucker, Blake, Ashton, Leevi, Avalee, Grayson, Haven Leeanna, Benji and Connor; one great-great grandchild, Jaxon; three brothers, David Cooper of Jamestown, Elisha Cooper (Lena Bell) of St. Stephens, Daniel Cooper (Sharon) of Walterboro; two sisters, Clara Mae Cooper of Columbia and Maryann Ackerman of Andrews; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by three brothers, Daniel Cooper, Jr., Ezra Cooper and Elijah Cooper; and four sisters, Milderd Lambert, Lula Ward, Sadie Evans and Doris Gause.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Friday, October 7, 2022, in the Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church – Family Life Center. Burial will follow in the Sandridge Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday in the Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church – Family Life Center.
