Obituary of Anthony Edward Rivino

Anthony Edward “Tony” (Riccio) Rivino, 69, of Georgetown and formerly of Branford, CT, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Tidelands Community Hospice House in Georgetown, SC. Born on October 13, 1946, in Oneonta, NY, he was a son of the late Peter A. Rivino and the late Madge Perry Rivino. Mr. Rivino was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church and attended All Saints Church Pawleys Island. He retired from Sikorsky Aircraft after 40 years of service. Mr. Rivino loved history and was always telling stories. He enjoyed movies, especially Westerns and enjoyed traveling, gardening, golf and walking on the beach. Survivors include his loving wife, Sunny Rivino of Georgetown; two daughters, Paige Weber of AZ; and Paisley Wixted (Michael) of CA; two grandsons, Corey Weber and Zachary Weber both of AZ; one special nephew, Johnny Rivino of CA; four special nieces, Theresa Worden of NY, Cheryl Benson of NY, Darcy Cole of NY and Dana Perkins of NC; and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Theresa Rivino, Carol Lester and Vivian Worden; three brothers, Peter A. Rivino, David Rivino and Leslie Rivino; and his beloved four-legged companion, Moxie. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, October 4, 2016 in the All Saints Old Church with Rev. Clay Millener officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the home.
